Very cool! :D I don't actually know Maya or his music, but you did a great job with his plush. I'm definitely going to use some of your tips for my next doll!

I've got a question. Is the hairspray at the end used so the make up won't come off when you wash the plushie?

I would not recommend to wash felt plushies, it tends to shrink x:
The hairspray is used to help preserve the makeup when dries or remove makeup/permanent colors excess while wet.

It also stiffens the fabric according to the amount of hairspray you apply.

Alright no problem! :D
I'll be experimenting with this method for a project I want to do. But maybe not with make up. I don't have any, and I'm short on money so can't get some. But hey, that's what experimentation is for! :D

Oh alright, I don't know many Japanese visual rockstars, but he seems nice ;) when I was around 16 I listened a lot to Gackt, D'espairs Ray, Dir en Grey, The Gazette and more of those bands ^^

I've added your tutorial in my group of Popkes :aww:
:iconpopkes: Its a group for stringdolls ( I call them Popkes ) yarndolls, plushies, amigurumi's, feltcreations and everything else that fits in that category :)

I hope you don't mind but I think your tutorial was very helpfull and it could help others too ^^ Of course if you don't want it in our gallery, feel free to remove it...

i like this idea. i don't have a lot of make up and i didn't want to use paint since it dries too stiff on fabric for my taste.

but! i do use the chalk pastels for blush and eye shadow. :)

That's a funny reversal of situations. I've got tons of art supplies and only little makeup, so I never considered using it. But I really like how it looks so I'm sure I'll give it a try. It's always fun to try something new :)
